Daniel Marano ( b. 1978 ) is a photographer, experimental film maker and musician based in Western Australia. He studied Film and Photography at the School of Art and Design in WA and has been actively engaged with exhibitions and performances in Japan and Australia.

Marano’s instillations, photographic and Super 8 works try to capture the interstitial spaces between reality and dreams. His live performances involve improvised layered guitars played with pre-recorded samples of everyday sounds such as trains, rain, birds and typewriters, usually played as a soundtrack to super 8 or slide projections.

Marano’s audio-visual project ” Sound Field Analouge ” was established in Tokyo, Japan, in late 2004 as a psychedelic experimental group with a focus on unconventional and improvised sounds. Sound Field Analouge produce hypnotic, layered sounds with ethereal undertones and waves of ambient textures.
